 | About UsPractical Waste Solutions is a company that got started in 2012 by Mr. L Rossouw and Mr. L Dalindyebo. The company got started through the passion of Environmental Science, particularly waste management by the two co – owners. The two co – owners have a good understanding of finding cost effective waste management solutions. Litha Dalindyebo started in Environmental science when he attained a Bsc (Hons) in the subject matter in 2008. He then worked for Impala Group of Companies as the first Environmental Scientist. He achieved ISO 14001 certification for the company, built the companies integrated SHEQ system, specializing in development of Works Instruction, procedures, training, implementation and monitoring. He has then since specialized in air quality management, ground and surface water management and training. Mr. Dalindyebo is currently finishing his last year (2012) in a masters degree in Environmental Science. Together with Mr. Rossouw they have designed a program to assist SMMEs to be compliant and work in the guidelines of ISO (International Organization for Certification) 14001 standard. In 1989 Mr. Rossouw started at Waste Tech (Enviroserve) as a landfill supervisor for a GBH (General waste) landfill site and Aloes I, HH (Hazardous) disposal site. He was later involved with the construction and initial management of the new Aloes II, HH site. During the oncoming years Mr. Rossouw was involved in many management projects, managing various sites for the cleaning / waste companies which include Zama Cleaning, Commercial cleaning, PE waste services and recently the Impala Group of Companies. With over 23 years of experience, Mr. Rossouw was one of the first to pioneer separation at source with color coded separation stations. The companies Mr. Rossouw has been involved in are Tenneco, Gillette, Armstrong, Borbett SA, Firestone / Bridgestone, MBSA, Continental and Goodyear. Mr. Rossouw was given the biggest challenge of his career in June 2007 to implement a system where Goodyear South Africa was to achieve zero waste to landfill. In March 2008 Goodyear received the status of being the only Industrial Company in the world to achieve zero waste to landfill and Mr. Rossouw was the first Waste Manager in Africa to achieve zero waste to landfill. In 2008, Litha and Louis came together and discussed the possibility of starting a business where they would collaborate their skills and knowledge. The concept of the business is Litha to facilitate the scientific approach to Waste management and Louis to add his invaluable experience in the waste Industry. Together designing simplistic easy manageable Waste Recycling and Management Solutions.
